3QE leads the ways in 2007/2008 FEI World Cup Jumping Series, SEA League

19 July 2007 - 3Q Equestrian Center was the venue for the first round of the 2007/2008 FEI World Cup Jumping series (SEA League) held 15 July in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

3Q Classic round of the FEI World Cup Jumping SEA League was a great start to a new season. The all-time favorite 3Q’s Qabil Ambak (MAS) and his new mare Parvina leads the way after the first qualifier, followed by Helena Gabrielson (SWE) with her King of Power Aladdin on the second place and Kim Sung Whan (KOR) and It’s Fine on the third.

A total of 7 qualifying legs are scheduled for the 2006/2008 series in the SEA League with 4 to count for points. Five of the qualifying competitions are scheduled to take place in Malaysia and two more rounds will be staged in Hong Kong for the first time.

Following the success of the 2003 and 2004 at the Kuala Lumpur Grand Prix 5-Star events the final for the SEA League will be organized by Asiapromote Ventures and will take place at the KL Grand Prix 2007 in KL, Malaysia in November. The qualifying competitions are scheduled to take place on Sundays during the major shows. The dates confirmed by the FEI are as follows:

Round 1: 3Q Classic, 3Q Equestrian, 13-15 July
Round 2: Premier Cup, Putrajaya Equestrian Park, KL MAS, 26-29 July
Round 3: The Malaysian Open’07, 3Q Equestrian KL MAS, 9-12 August
Round 4: Merdeka Masters 2007, 3Q Equestrian KL MAS, 4-9 September
Round 5: Malaysia Open Polo, Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, KL MAS, 7-9 September
Round 6: Sheung Shui, HKG, 28 October
Round 7: Shatin, HKG, 4 NovemberSEA League Final: KL Grand Prix, Bukit Jalil KL, MAS, Nov 25 2007

About FEI World Cup Jumping SEA League:
FEI World Cup Jumping, SEA League has entered its 10th year. The first series in SEA League were organized in 1997. The best rider from the SEA League will qualify for the FEI World Cup Final in Göteborg (SWE), which takes place from 24 to 27 April 2008. The last year winner of the SEA League is Thailand’s Akkara Konglapamnauy.
